About Avortas

Avortas is a free set of browser-based tools for exploring how rare your traits are, where your wealth ranks globally, what your personality profile looks like, and what a future child might inherit. Every tool is free, requires no registration, and runs its calculations locally in your browser.

Why we built this

Finding out that your exact name is shared by fewer than 50,000 people worldwide, or that your combination of eye color, blood type, and handedness shows up in under 1% of the global population, is a genuinely interesting way to look at your own identity. We built Avortas to make that kind of exploration accessible — no science background required, no signup, just pick your traits and see where you land.

How our tools work

Each calculator runs in JavaScript inside your browser. When you enter information — traits, income, personality answers, or parental genetics — the calculation happens on your device, not on a server we control. We build our reference datasets from public sources including the UN Population Division for demographic statistics, published wealth-distribution research for the percentile calculator, WHO data for health and lifestyle baselines, and peer-reviewed genetics research for trait-inheritance patterns in the baby predictor. We review and update these periodically, and document the specifics on our Data Sources page and in our rarity methodology guide.

What Avortas offers

The platform covers several rarity and self-discovery tools. The Name Rarity Calculator checks first and last names against a database of thousands of names with population estimates. The Wealth Percentile Calculator estimates your global net-worth ranking. The Personality Test covers MBTI type plus several additional trait dimensions. Interests & Hobbies and Lifestyle Habits compare your activities, sleep, diet, and travel patterns to population averages. The Skills Self-Assessment covers seven talent dimensions. The Baby Genetics Predictor estimates a future child's traits — eye color, talents, and general health-risk factors — across several categories.

Transparency and limitations

Avortas tools are built for entertainment and general self-education, not as scientific instruments, medical devices, or diagnostic tools. They provide simplified estimates from population-level statistics and basic genetic models. Personality results aren't clinically validated assessments. Genetic predictions aren't a substitute for genetic counseling, and wealth comparisons use published aggregate data that won't perfectly reflect every individual's situation. Every results page is labeled as an estimate, and we encourage consulting the relevant professional for anything health-, finance-, or family-planning related.

Privacy, in short

Calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser and aren't stored on our servers. We use Google AdSense to keep the tools free, and Google Analytics for aggregate, anonymized traffic patterns — both are standard, disclosed, and covered by a visible cookie preference control on every page. Who we are

Avortas is an independent project, not affiliated with any government agency, university, medical institution, or financial organization. It's built and maintained by a solo developer who enjoys turning population statistics into things people actually want to interact with.
